There seems to be a celebrity available to endorse anything and everything these
days. I don't think it influences me or does it? Advertisers spend such hugh amounts
of money on it that they must feel it is worth while in the celebrity driven culture.
Maybe it influences me more than I think.
YO-2 Is it just me that
buys clothes with the scratchiest labels in the world. I wish I could say it was
my sensitive skin but I am more likely to be thick skinned. I know they have a
purpose but do they bug anybody else?
YO-3 I
have strong opinions on ethical sourced clothing. I strongly believe that everybody
has the right to a living wage, even if it pushes the retail price up. But I know
that not everybody agrees.

Do you want advertising for shopping while withdrawing money? I don't. Did you
know that banks are proposing to advertise between screen views on their ATMs!
All I am trying to do is remember my PIN number and not get mugged. Oh, and of
course my favourite trick is to forget my card and cash at the end. I don't want
to be told about the lastest shoe arrivals down the road.
Am
I alone?

In the wake of the Jack Straw clothing debate, I found this website www.savethehoodie.com
interesting. Especially in view of some shopping malls would like to ban hoodies
for security reasons. I am not sure about what I think about this?

This has started a bit of a storm to which there does
seem to be a simple answer, as most solutions make assumptions about people's
motives. I am not sure where I stand on this as to me it depends why the woman
is covering or not.

A recent visit to hospital made me realise that whoever designed those X-Ray gowns
has serious issues. There is no doubt in my mind that those gowns which gape and
show your backside off, can be redesigned and just as practical.

The Waif War that is being waged on the catwalk at the moment I think is good.
I believe that young and old are under too much social pressure to fit in with
this contrived ( and for the most part unhealthy ) mental image of what they should
be. I am not saying that everybody should be as generously curved as me but I
feel that this is a step in the right direction although it will be uncomfortable
for some of those caught in its wake.

Buy it and Bin it- the attitude of a lot of shoppers today. But is that all going
to change with the increase in cheap imports. Why not buy a skirt for a fiver
and wear it a half a dozen times until it falls to bits? if you buy something
more durable you are stuck with it as somebody said to me once. All I can think
of is that you don't get Bremsilk lining in a skirt for a fiver. And how sexy
does that against your skin make you feel?
YO-11
Is it just me or are every shop and department store having sales of some sort
on 24-7. I would personally prefer fewer sales but a serious sale when they do
have them.
YO-12
I cant believe that even in early October I was hearing the first Christmas adverts
on the radio and music in the stores. I think Christmas music in retail should
be banned at least until the 1st of December each year.

In line with one of our feature articles, I was watching Notting Hill again for
the one millionth time (if you still haven't seen it - get it tonight) and I realised
that the old age question raised by Spike had not been asked to my satisfaction
and I need your assistance.
